The Bereiter House, built in 1908, is owned by the City of Kent and operated by the Greater Kent Historical Society. The historic home is available for event rentals.
The first floor of this beautiful Craftsman style home may be used for events such as weddings, receptions, teas, luncheons and garden parties.
The dining room provides an inviting atmosphere for catered dinners or small gatherings. Eight guests can comfortably enjoy a meal around our period table with silver and china place settings.
We can comfortably accommodate 24 guests for sit down dinners in the museum or up to 50 for standing room only events.
The museum has facilities to enable a caterer to serve a meal, however, there is not space to cook in the kitchen.
The museum grounds are available during the summer for events of over 100 guests. The museum can provide tables and chairs for 48 guests.
In the last year, we have hosted weddings, wedding receptions, class picnics, funeral receptions, along with the regular museum events like open houses, speaker events, historical discussion groups, and board meetings.
